Franchisee Testimonials – Siva Kugathas

Siva is one of our newest franchisees to join the network and joined us in early 2017 

Having worked in senior roles in franchising in both the UK and Europe, Siva wanted to tackle something for himself and bought an existing business in the Contract Services network. With high hopes of doubling turnover in the first 18 months, Siva is not afraid of a challenge and had this to say about his relationship with ServiceMaster Clean almost two years on …

“I have owned my franchise for almost two years and have worked closely with Guy Strang (Brand Operations Manager) and Vicky Tayler (Marketing Executive) at ServiceMaster UK Ltd, as well as the existing franchise network to achieve my goals in business.

I set myself some pretty tough targets to achieve within the first two years and I have already exceeded my year two target with a few months to spare!

Q. What made you want to own your own business?
A. Lots of reasons..!

  • Fed up of not being in control of my own destiny
  • Fed up of working very hard for poor managers that didn’t appreciate me
  • Wanted to earn more than an average income
  • At an age and point in my career where I needed a new challenge
  • Need more security going forward – recognising in the short term I might have less security but that in the long term I would have much more security
